The Hardest Part of Blogging

Blogging shouldn’t be so hard right? Maybe, but not quite. I thought that the hardest part of blogging was setting up my site on a more advanced platform. Or how scared I was to share my posts online to more than just my family. Then how embarrassed I was after seeing that 5 people had actually read my post & assuming how stupid everyone must have thought it was. Those things seem so silly now. Now that I’m finding many other things to consider as the hardest part of blogging.

Some of the hardest parts of blogging

  • taking blog worthy photos
  • comparing your blog to others
  • creating a custom “pin it” button
  • learning & balancing a new social media platform
  • living a life worth blogging about
  • finding your niche
  • getting the seo lights to turn green

My biggest setback of blogging

The hardest part of blogging for me is consistency. I can’t just sit here & write up four posts to schedule out at one time. But I also can’t take an hour & a half twice a week to make sure I get at least one post in. I write down ideas that I get for different topics to write about, & I write out little blurbs so that I don’t forget what I was thinking when I go to type out the post. But that is where I fail. I don’t get that post typed & published. However, being consistent is more that just a blogging problem in my world. I am the most inconsistent person probably, ever. Staying on top of laundry, fitbit, my new skincare regimen.. It lasts a week at the most. I always find a reason to put it off. This is something I’ve been working on for a while, & each routine never lasts.

Fellow bloggers, what do you consider to be the hardest part of blogging?

Everyone else, any tips on how to create a routine & consistently stick with it?

On that note, I got my post published, time to find a new Netflix show to binge!
